What we fix

A dryer that quits mid-week means laundry draped over every chair in the house. These are the dryer calls we run across Syracuse every week. If your symptom is on the list, we've almost certainly fixed it before.

Dryer brands we repair

Every configuration

Types of dryers we repair

Gas or electric, vented or ventless. If it's supposed to dry clothes, it's our kind of job.

Electric dryers

The most common setup in Syracuse homes. Heating faults, thermal cutoffs, and drum problems are everyday work.

Gas dryers

Ignition, no-heat, and airflow faults, with the gas side treated carefully and checked before we leave.

Ventless & condenser models

Including heat-pump dryers in newer homes and condos. Different design, same careful diagnosis.

Stackable & laundry centers

Towers in closets and apartments, serviced in place, tight quarters included.

Compact dryers

Slim 24-inch units for condos and rentals. Small drum, full-size repair care.

Steam dryers

Steam-cycle models with water hookups. We handle both the drying side and the steam side.

Recent repairs

Recent dryer jobs

Three calls from the past few weeks around Syracuse: what broke, what it cost, and how it ended.

Electric dryer running with no heat $190

Running full cycles with zero heat

The Problem

An electric Samsung in North Syracuse tumbled away for an hour and returned the load exactly as wet as it went in.

The Fix

The heating element had burned through. Replaced it, checked the thermostats and airflow so the new one lasts, and ran the dryer hot to confirm.

Dryer drum making a loud squealing noise $175

A squeal you could hear two rooms away

The Problem

A Maytag in Manlius developed a screech that started at minute one and never let up. The family had been timing loads around nap time.

The Fix

Worn drum rollers and a tired idler pulley. Replaced the set along with the belt while the cabinet was open, and it now runs at a hum.

Manlius, NY ~1.5 hours on site
Dryer completely dead, no lights or response $150

Dead after a stormy weekend

The Problem

A GE in Solvay wouldn't respond at all after a stormy weekend. No lights, no click, nothing.

The Fix

The thermal fuse had blown. Replaced it, then traced and cleared a badly clogged vent run that helped kill it, so the failure doesn't repeat.

Solvay, NY ~1 hour on site

Each figure above is the full amount that customer paid for that exact job, listed only as a reference point. Every model and fault is different, so your own price is confirmed by the technician at your door, face to face, before we pick up a tool.

Called two other places first. This was the only one that could come the same week, let alone the same day.

Every load was taking two full cycles and the laundry still came out damp. Now one cycle, done. Should have called months ago.

Dryer repair questions

Is it worth repairing my dryer?+

Almost always. Dryers are mechanically simple, so most repairs are quick, affordable, and covered by our 90-day warranty. If yours is the rare exception, we'll tell you before any money changes hands.

It runs but everything comes out damp. Is that a repair or just a clogged vent?+

It can be either, and often it's both. The technician checks the heat, the airflow, and the vent run in the same visit, so you get the real answer instead of a guess.

Do you work on both gas and electric dryers?+

Yes. Gas, electric, ventless, and heat-pump models, from every major brand sold in Central New York.

I smelled something burning. Should I keep using it?+

No. Unplug the dryer, or turn off the gas valve on a gas model, and don't run it until it's inspected. A burning smell usually means overheating or heavy lint buildup, and both are worth taking seriously.
